From the first quarter to the second quarter the rate of growth of earnings is slowing down for the Nifty. But this can be temporary given seasonal patterns in some industries
The post-Covid environment provided the perfect backdrop for a new bull market to take off in India. In many ways this has played out perfectly with the breakouts in multiple sector indices to new all time highs. After three years of running in one direction it may be time for things to cool down a bit and consolidate. The question is have we over extended ourselves in the short-term. From the first quarter to the second quarter the rate of growth of earnings is slowing down for the Nifty. But this can be temporary given seasonal patterns in some industries. The real headwind that appears right in front of us is the slowing global economy.
